Practitioners often don't bill for time spent on communicating with schools. Practitioners and schools often use students' full names and share other confidential information when the practitioner is using a Gmail account, and we lack the visibility if/when practitioners are communicating to customers.
I have received a few concerns from a practitioner recently related to this as schools/practitioners/guardians are emailing student names and documentation due to gaps in the system and sake of ease. Concerns have been expressed related to Canadian Privacy Laws & Practitioner College Requirements/guidelines.
We are still seeing schools and practitioners emailing student names because of gaps in the system. (Communication about specific students needs etc.) There are HIPAA concerns here.
